Cambridge - A group of club-carrying thugs beat a man to the ground in East Cambridge before robbing him, police said.
A 22-year-old Revere man had just dropped off his girlfriend at her home and returned to his parked car on Cambridge Street near Seventh Street at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 11 when he noticed four men in hooded sweatshirts walking toward him. The victim tried to jump into his car, but one suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and tried to stab him, according to police reports.
