Man gets 3 years in fatal boat accident
PORTLAND, Maine - A Massachusetts boater convicted of causing a violent boat collision that killed two people on a Maine lake is going to prison for3 years.
Robert LaPointe of Medway, Mass., was led away in handcuffs after his sentencing yesterday on two counts of aggravated operating under the influence in the crash on Long Lake in Harrison. The jury deadlocked on manslaughter charges.
