Bose Corp., the audio giant known for Wave radios and noise-canceling headphones, is cutting 1,000 jobs, the company confirmed yesterday.
The Framingham-based firm said the layoffs amount to about 10 percent of its total work force and the cuts will come from “select areas, including manufacturing.”
Bose’s restructuring is a reaction to the recession and a slowdown in consumer spending.
