William Louis Petersen (born February 21, 1953) is a Golden Globe and Emmy nominated American actor and producer, best known for playing Gil Grissom on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He's the youngest of six children, born in Evanston, Illinois, to parents who worked in the furniture business. His father is Danish-American, and his mother is German-American.
He married Joanne Brady in 1974 and had a daughter, Maite, which is a Basque name meaning love. He divorced in 1981 and married again in 2003, Gina Cirone. His daughter gave birth to a grandson in 2003, Mazrik William.
My favorite movies: Manhunter, Passed Away, Fear, To Live and Die in LA...and of course, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation...and I can't believe he left.
