Body found floating near Route 1A in Revere


The remains of a person were spotted this morning floating off the Point of Pines neighborhood in Revere today.

The remains were recovered by the Revere fire department after they were found near the confluence of the Pines and Saugus rivers and alongside the General Edwards Bridge on Route 1A, according to Revere Fire and Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley's office.

The person's gender or identity could not be immediately established, officials said.

State police assigned to Conley's office are investigating. The discovery was made around 11:25 a.m., Revere fire officials said.
