Today is United Nations Day. United Nations Day was proclaimed in 1948 by the United Nations General Assembly, it is held annually on October 24th, the anniversary of the coming into force of the UN Charter on the same day in 1945.
United Nations Day is devoted to making known to people of the world the aims and achievements of the United Nations Organization.
