Do you remember Bob Gamere from Candlepins for Cash? He was arrested today on federal charges of transporting and possessing child pornography. I heard some wild stories about this guys drinking days, but nothing like this.
Then a 39 year old former 'RKO talk show host, Reese Hopkins, was arrested at his home in Malden for raping a 12 year old girl 4 years ago in New York City.
Closer to home, a Level 3 sex offender convicted twice of raping a child was arrested near his Jones Road home Monday for luring his neighbor's 11-year-old son into the back of his car. You really have to read that story to believe it. This all happened in the presence of the police and his mother.I knew the news wouldn't get any better when I opened a news alert from yesterday in my email this morning telling me of a lockdown of schools in Newburyport because of a man reported in the area with a handgun. You don't hear of this kind of stuff in a community like Newburyport, ever.
There was some good news for adopted kids. Seems they're entitled to free tuition and the state doesn't think it's getting the word out to eligible adoptees. You mean I could have my sister adopt my daughter and the state will pay for her college education? Not a bad deal. Maybe I'll adopt one of my neices.
I think it's time to leave the state.
I'm going to watch CSI...maybe I'll move to Vegas.
