It's a Wonderful Life

If you know me at all, you know the only thing I like about the Christmas season is to watch the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", starring Jimmy Stewart & Donna Reed and directed by Frank Capra. If I'm scanning the TV and it's on, I'll watch it until the end no matter where it's started.

If you haven't seen it, I have to ask, what rock have you been hiding under? No, to be serious, it's the story of a man named George Bailey who seems to never have been able to live out his dreams because he has to take care of business for other people in his life. He thinks of taking his life because he believes he is worth more dead than alive and that will solve his present problem of money that has gone missing due to his Uncle Billy's mistake. An angel, Clarence Oddbody, is sent to earth to help George Bailey so he can earn his wings. George believes that things would be better if he were never born. Clarence gives him the opportunity to see how life would be if George were never born.

The lesson Clarence eventually teaches George is that it's
"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"

It's a holiday movie that everyone should see at least once. Rent it, it's long. And you'll also learn that "every time a bell rings, an angel gets their wings".
