Las Vegas legend Danny Gans dead at 52

Las Vegas has lost a legend.

The world-famous "Man of Many Voices" Danny Gans died unexpectedly at his home in Las Vegas last night, ET confirms. He was 52.

Danny had received many accolades, including being named Entertainer of the Year. He is also known for his TV credits, including his performance as Dean Martin in the 1992 CBS miniseries "Sinatra."

Though he has a regular show at the Wynn's Encore hotel, he was not scheduled to perform last night.

"Elaine and I and all of us in the Company are devastated at the loss of our brilliant, talented and loving friend," Steve Wynn tells ET. "One of the most unique human beings and entertainers in the world has been taken from us in an unexpected moment. A profoundly tragic event that leaves us all sad and speechless. The loss of Danny to his wife Julie, his children Amy, Andrew & Emily is at this moment impossible to comprehend. We will all try to go on with our lives without our dear friend. At this moment it seems almost impossible."

I saw him in Vegas a few years ago on the recommendation of a few friends who had previously seen his show and he was a really great entertainer.
