Today marks the start of the fictional Seinfeld holiday, Festivus. Part of the holiday festivities is the "Airing of Grievances" where people discuss how much someone has disappointed them over the past year, and "Feats of Strength" where someone attempts to pin the head of the household to the ground. If the head of household is successfully pinned to the ground, the holiday ends. The Festivus Pole, a plain aluminum pole, is displayed unadorned and the dinner is usually where the "Airing of Grievances" takes place.
In lieu of holiday gifts, donations to "The Human Fund" are gratefully accepted.
